Curious. Creative. Balanced.
These are the qualities we hear again and again when people describe Whatcom Hills Waldorf School graduates. Our education prepares students not only for success in high school, but for a meaningful life beyond the classroom.
Our alumni follow diverse paths and meet the world with confidence, compassion, and purpose. From places close to home to locales around the globe, WHWS graduates shape their communities with skill, creativity, and a sense of responsibility.
“I think what I will take away from Waldorf is that knowledge isn’t always something you can get through a textbook, but rather by being curious, creative, and observing the world around you.”

Coming Full Circle
Each spring, we welcome our graduating high school seniors back to Whatcom Hills for a special celebration. Alumni reconnect with former teachers, revisit familiar classrooms, and celebrate how far they've come since leaving WHWS. They also share reflections, advice, and encouragement with our seventh and eighth graders, offering a meaningful glimpse of the journey ahead as our students prepare to begin high school themselves.
Deep Roots
Friendships that Last a Lifetime
At WHWS, the connections built often last long beyond graduation. In 2025, we welcomed members of the Class of 2005 back to campus for a special reunion celebrating 20 years since their eighth grade graduation. Alumni traveled from near and far to reconnect, share stories, and reflect on the friendships and experiences that continue to shape their lives.
“Waldorf instilled in me a passion for art and design from a young age, whether through handwork classes, illustrating my Main Lesson Books, or woodworking projects where I built tools and furniture. Since graduating, I’ve continued to seek out creative pursuits, ultimately building a career around my love of design. Waldorf gave me a strong foundation of knowledge, community, and determination to pursue my goals, and I am forever grateful.”
