Michaelmas Gratitude

The festive spirit generated by last month’s Michaelmas events is still lingering in the air here at WHWS.

Long before families arrived for the evening’s festivities, our incredible Parent Council and many volunteers came together to plan the event, decorate the school grounds, and to offer activities to our students during the school day. Here are some of the engaging activities in which the children participated: 

• Apple on a string
• Hammering and sawing
• Balance beam crossing
• Mini Pumpkin on a spoon obstacle course
• Pillow Jousting 
• Dress up relay
• 3-legged race
• Sack race
• Hula Hoop Pass
• Tug-of-War with faculty/staff

We are so grateful to ALL of you who gifted their time, donations, and creativity to make this year’s Michaelmas such a joyful and special community celebration!
