19th Annual Fun for the Young Summer Camp 2023     Save the Date - July 31-August 3 or August 7-10

Ages 4 1/2 - 8

(Up to Incoming Second Graders)

This summer your young child can enjoy a camp program suited particularly to their needs.  Camp is held outdoors in the wonderful, inviting kindergarten yard and large, adjacent wood chip area at Whatcom Hills Waldorf School.


Monday – Thursday
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM 


Week 1.....July 31-August 3
Week 2.....August 7-10

Components of the day include:

  • Circle time & games 
  • Outdoor play 
  • Age appropriate arts and crafts
  • Snack and lunch (parents provide)
  • Water play 
  • Stories and puppetry
  • Treasure hunt on Thursdays!

The program is led by Adrienne Doucette, a certified Waldorf teacher with over 20 years of experience, and two assistants. Group size is limited to 18 participants.  Sign up for one or both weeks.

Summer Gardening Camp 2022

Ages 8-11 (incoming 3 rd graders to incoming 6th graders)

This summer program is held in the garden at the Whatcom Hills Waldorf School. Kids
will learn how to harvest and use plants to make fun, herbal products that will nourish
their bodies inside and out. We also spend the afternoon swimming in nearby Lake

Monday – Thursday
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM 


July 18-21

Components of the day include:
Morning circle time
Planting, harvesting, cooking, and eating from the garden
Preparation of herbal remedies and garden crafts to take home
Swimming at Lake Whatcom
Afternoon popsicles

This camp is led by Heather Tiszai, the gardening teacher at Whatcom Hills Waldorf School for
over 7 years. Group size is limited to 10 participants.
Simple, organic snacks will be provided. Participants will bring their own lunch.
