6th Grade Backpacking

Grade 6 set out on their backpacking trip to Excelsior Pass September 26th-27th, along with parent chaperones.

Class Teacher Rachel Howard shared a few moments she felt were highlights of their journey:

“In the evening, we all walked up to Excelsior Peak, and the sun was just starting to set. There were two platforms on which we could sit, and while sitting we took in the 360 degree view of the mountains and sunset. And we just sat together in the quiet and watched the colors change. Later, after it became dark, many students were amazed by the number of stars they were able to see in the night sky.”
