Parent & Child
Our Parent & Child classes welcome parents and caregivers with children from 18 months to 3 years old into a warm and nurturing space. We explore the unfolding world of early childhood ~ deepening intuitive parenting, building community with other families, and discovering the joys of Waldorf education.
Each class offers a gentle rhythm of creative play, nursery rhymes and songs, puppet stories, wholesome snacks, and simple handcrafts. Guided by our lead Nursery teacher, these mornings provide a peaceful bridge between home and school life, where both children and adults can grow in connection, confidence, and wonder.

A typical day in our Waldorf preschool includes creative and imaginative play, snack preparation, seasonal songs and games in circle time, artistic activities, and storytelling or puppetry. Each day and week has a healthy rhythm of activity that the children come to know and love. You may hear about bread baking, playing in the forest, painting, crafts and gardening!
We have three mixed age preschool programs, each held by a lead and assistant teacher:

- 9 students per class
- Must be 2 by March 1st
- 4-day program
- Mon-Thu, 8:30am-3pm
Sweet Peas & Buttercup Preschool
- 12 students per class
- Must be 3 by May 1st
- 5-day program
- Mon-Thu, 8:30am-3pm
- Fri, 8:30am-1:15pm

Our mixed-age Waldorf kindergarten includes ample free play, circle time, storytelling, preparation and sharing of meals, and a mix of practical and artistic work. Sensory-rich experiences—such as watercolor painting, sewing, natural crafts, baking, cooking and gardening—nurture creativity and joy, and approximately half of each day is spent outdoors on or around our beautiful wooded campus, fostering a relationship with and a love for the natural world.
Guided by a deep understanding of early childhood development, our teachers create a calm, loving environment that inspires learning and nurtures fundamental capacities for academic study in the grades. Attention span, hand-eye coordination, pattern recognition, fine & gross motor skills, and a love for language are developed, and activities support emerging literacy, numeracy, and imaginative and spatial thinking.
We have two mixed age kindergarten programs, each held by a lead and assistant teacher:
Lavender & Salmonberry Kindergartens
- 18 students per class
- Must be 4 by May 1st
- First Grade Ready, must be 6 by May 1st
- 5-day program
- Mon-Thu, 8:30am-3pm
- Fri, 8:30am-1:15pm
