Why Waldorf

The full Waldorf curriculum provides a balance of Humanities, Sciences and the Arts, designed to meet the children's needs at each stage of their development. Subjects and skills are introduced whenchildren are most receptive and in a vivid manner which sparks delight in learning.

The goal of Waldorf education is to enable each child to unfold their unique potential by providing both a strong academic life and encouraging their artistic, and imaginative life, which sparks an eagerness for learning and an enthusiasm for life.

Waldorf education is the largest and fastest growing independent school movement in the world. Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian philosopher, scientist and educator, founded the first Waldorf school in Europe in 1919. There are more than 800 Waldorf schools worldwide which share a common educational philosophy: to educate the whole child...Head, Heart and Hands.

"Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives."

-Rudolf Steiner
