Craft Workshops: The Wily Ways of Wool ($10 material fee)

Free your creativity during these project-based craft workshops! Handwork is an important element in Waldorf education as it facilitates small motor coordination, practical math skills and brain development. Just as important is the sense of accomplishment that comes from creating a project with your own two hands. Learn how to knit, crochet or create art out of wool using needle felting and wet felting techniques during these handwork circles led by Kim Anderson and Maria Koplowitz-Fleming.

Each class is $10 for materials, and all supplies are included. Registration is required. Email Holly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to register.

Watercolor Workshop
Monday, March 5
6:30PM - 8:00PM

Waldorf schools are known for their beautiful aesthetic and integration of the arts through the curriculum. Children experience wet-on-wet watercolor painting for the first time in preschool. The moment when a child discovers that two colors make a third is a magical experience for them. As the children develop through the grades, so do their skills.  The paintings follow the curriculum, and match the studies along the way.  In this session, we will paint selected visions from the third grade year.  This method of painting is therapeutic and produces beautiful colorful art, no matter the skill of the artist. With Mateo Tryllium, Third Grade Teacher
